Looking for a dynamic individual interested in leading a team of engineers responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance and design of new systems for a small fleet of gas-fired combined and simple cycle plants.

Join Roseville Electric as a Principal Power Plant Engineer

The City of Roseville is currently accepting applications for the role of Principal Power Plant Engineer, of which there is one vacancy. Additionally, applications are being accepted for Senior Power Plant Engineer in order to establish an eligibility list for potential future vacancies. The City of Roseville owns and operates its own full-service, vertically integrated Electric Utility, including two power plant sites.

This position is located at our Roseville Energy Park (REP) combined cycle power plant. The Principal Power Plant Engineer will lead a team of three other engineers that support all the operations and maintenance activities necessary for our generation fleet. Currently, this fleet consists of a 2x1 combined cycle plant (two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines and one Siemens SST-900 steam turbine), and 4 simple-cycle G.E. TM2500 gas turbines. Two of these units are collocated at the REP, with the other two at a remote site just outside of City limits. In addition to the O&M support activities, the engineering team is responsible for the design and construction of capital upgrades to these facilities to improve efficiency, replace end-of-life systems and increase flexibility in the dynamic power supply market. Upcoming capital improvement projects include SCR replacements, evaporative cooling additions, gas compression additions, major zero liquid discharge system improvements, and control system upgrades.

The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday, occasional evening and weekend work may be required. A flex schedule may be available.

This position is open until filled.
