Job Description

  • Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a Senior Principal Product Manager for Robotics Automation. You will define the product vision, roadmap, and initial scope for a new platform that helps scientific and enterprise customers automate physical workflows reliably and safely.
  • This is a senior individual-contributor role for a technically strong product leader. You will work closely with customers, scientists, engineering, applied science, hardware and automation partners, and OCI platform teams to turn real operating workflows into a clear, scalable product direction.
  • Initially, you will lead discovery and product definition: identify the most valuable customer problems, define the first pilot use cases, establish success measures, and recommend what should be built next. You will also help shape the longer-term platform strategy for integrating robots, instruments, workflow systems, and cloud services.

What You’ll Do

  • Define the vision, product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for Robotics Automation.
  • Work directly with strategic customers, scientists, lab operators, and automation partners to understand workflows, constraints, and unmet needs.
  • Identify and prioritize the first pilot use cases; define customer value, desired outcomes, acceptance criteria, and measures of success.
  • Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements, user journeys, policies, and engineering priorities.
  • Partner with the Robotics Platform Engineer to evaluate technical options, make scope and sequencing decisions, and balance customer value, safety, reliability, cost, and delivery time.
  • Define the product model for managing organizations, shared resources, access rules, workload priorities, and operational policies.
  • Establish success measures for adoption, workflow completion, operator intervention, reliability, resource use, cost, and customer value.
  • Define the requirements for administrator, monitoring, and troubleshooting experiences in partnership with Shared Experience & Authoring.
  • Build the case for future investment in Robotics Automation based on pilot results, customer feedback, market opportunity, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive the product lifecycle from discovery and prototype through pilot, launch, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate strategy, trade-offs, progress, risks, and recommendations to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Influence across Product, Engineering, Applied Science, Security, Operations, Finance, and customer teams without formal authority.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Life Sciences, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of product management experience for highly technical products, platforms, cloud services, automation systems, or enterprise software.
  • Experience defining product vision, roadmaps, requirements, and success measures for complex customer-facing products.
  • Experience working closely with technically demanding customers and translating detailed workflows into scalable product capabilities.
  • Strong technical judgment across cloud platforms, distributed systems, workflow orchestration, data platforms, APIs, or automation systems.
  • Experience with robotics, lab automation, industrial automation, scientific workflows, AI-enabled systems, or hardware-software products is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to make clear trade-offs among scope, customer value, safety, reliability, cost, and time to market.
  • Experience defining and evaluating pilot programs, including measurable business and operational outcomes.
  • Strong written, analytical, customer-engagement, and executive-communication skills.
