Our Adelaide planning team is seeking an experienced Principal Planner to play a key role in growing the team and strengthening our capability in planning and approvals for large-scale infrastructure projects.

This role will focus primarily on environmental and infrastructure planning, while also contributing to business development to support the team's continued growth and financial performance. We are looking for someone who enjoys mentoring others and sharing their expertise to build capability across the team.

About the role

• Lead and deliver a diverse range of planning projects, including strategic and statutory planning and development applications
• Undertake due diligence, structure planning, master planning, and community consultation
• Provide expert technical planning advice on complex and high-profile projects
• Prepare, review, and approve planning reports, development applications, and technical documentation
• Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with public and private sector clients
• Identify, pursue, and secure new planning opportunities aligned with business strategy

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning
• Extensive experience in statutory and strategic planning and development matters
• Experience working on large- scale infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated success in project management, client management, and business development
• Strong leadership capability, with the ability to role model constructive and professional behaviours
• Experience in client service and stakeholder management
