This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a principal OD leadership role within a progressive People & Capability function that is actively partnering with our leadership cohort to shape the organisation’s future.

About the role

As our Principal Organisational Development Partner, you will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-wide organisational development initiatives that lift capability, embed culture and support long-term organisational performance.

Reporting to the Manager Organisational Development, you will:

  • Lead the development and execution of Council-wide OD strategy and programs
  • Partner with senior leaders to translate strategic priorities into impactful people solutions
  • Drive large-scale initiatives across workforce planning, engagement, recognition and capability uplift
  • Lead and develop a small team to deliver high-quality organisational outcomes
  • Embed contemporary change management practices and behavioural insights
  • Shape and sustain initiatives aligned to our new values and employee value proposition

This is a highly visible role that sits at the centre of how Council evolves its leadership capability and organisational culture.

What you will bring

You are a strategic and commercially minded OD leader who is comfortable operating at both enterprise and delivery levels.

You will bring:

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale organisational development initiatives in complex environments
  • Proven success delivering programs such as workforce planning, engagement and capability uplift
  • Strong ability to influence and partner with senior leaders
  • Experience leading teams and building high-performing OD capability
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate insight into action
  • A passion for shaping organisational culture and improving workforce outcomes
