Are you a senior grants professional with a passion for strategic leadership, robust governance, and delivering programs that create lasting impact?

We are seeking an outstanding Principal Manager, Grant Management to lead the development, oversight and continuous improvement of grant administration across the branch. In this influential leadership role, you will drive excellence across the grant lifecycle, ensuring public funds are managed transparently, effectively and in line with government requirements and community outcomes.

About the Role

As the Principal Manager, Grant Management, you will provide strategic leadership across grant design, governance, compliance, assurance, performance monitoring and continuous improvement. You will lead a high-performing team responsible for ensuring grant programs are delivered with integrity, accountability, and measurable impact.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, government agencies, community representatives, and funding recipients, you will provide expert advice and evidence-based recommendations that support informed decision-making and continuous program improvement.

About You

You are a strategic and influential leader with significant experience managing complex grant programs within government, not-for-profit, or related sectors.

You will bring:

• Extensive experience leading grant administration, governance, compliance and program evaluation functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of public sector grant administration, governance frameworks and financial accountability requirements.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.
• Experience developing policy and governance frameworks and leading business improvement initiatives.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Proven leadership capability with experience developing high-performing teams.
• Strong financial management, reporting and risk management expertise.
• Commitment to culturally respectful engagement and working collaboratively with Aboriginal stakeholders and communities.
