Job Description

Position Summary

The Principal Lead, Talent Acquisition is a senior talent acquisition leader responsible for developing and executing strategic recruiting initiatives across critical business functions and geographies. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leaders and hiring managers while leading complex searches, workforce planning efforts, talent market intelligence, and recruiting transformation initiatives.

The Principal Lead combines deep recruiting expertise with strong business acumen to attract exceptional talent, build diverse pipelines, and drive operational excellence throughout the hiring lifecycle. This individual will mentor recruiters, influence workforce strategy, leverage AI-enabled recruiting tools, and ensure the delivery of high-quality hiring outcomes aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for senior, highly specialized, and business-critical positions globally.
  • Partner with business leaders, HR Business Partners, and functional executives to understand talent needs and workforce plans.
  • Develop proactive talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth, transformation, and succession requirements.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding talent availability, competitive hiring trends, compensation, and skills demand.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders throughout the hiring process.

Executive and Critical Talent Hiring

  • Manage executive and hard-to-fill recruiting projects with a focus on quality, speed, and candidate experience.
  • Design sourcing strategies targeting passive and diverse talent pools.
  • Conduct in-depth candidate assessments and facilitate selection and calibration discussions.
  • Support offer strategy, negotiation, and closing activities for key hires.

Talent Market Intelligence

  • Build and maintain talent maps for critical skill segments.
  • Analyze labor market trends, competitive hiring activity, and emerging skills.
  • Deliver talent insights that influence workforce planning and location strategy decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal mobility and succession pipelines.

Recruiting Operations and Governance

  • Drive compliance with recruiting processes, data quality standards, and candidate disposition requirements.
  • Monitor and improve recruiting KPIs including time-to-fill, quality of hire, pipeline conversion, candidate experience, and diversity outcomes.
  • Partner with recruiting operations to optimize workflows, reporting, and technology utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulatory requirements, and company policies.

Recruiting Transformation and AI Enablement

  • Champion adoption of recruiting technologies, automation, and AI-enabled sourcing and screening tools.
  • Partner with recruiting leadership to identify process improvements and scalable solutions.
  • Lead projects focused on increasing recruiter productivity, improving candidate quality, and enhancing hiring manager engagement.
  • Utilize data and analytics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Coaching and Team Leadership

  • Mentor recruiters and recruiting coordinators on search strategy, candidate engagement, assessment techniques, and stakeholder management.
  • Share best practices and create repeatable recruiting playbooks.
  • Support onboarding and capability development of new recruiting team members.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for strategic talent acquisition practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including recruiting for technical, professional, or leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex and executive-level searches.
  • Experience partnering with senior business leaders and influencing hiring decisions.
  • Strong sourcing, interviewing, assessment, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting analytics.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience within semiconductor, technology, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly technical industries.
  • Experience supporting global recruiting initiatives.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, talent intelligence, and organizational design concepts.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, and advanced recruiting technologies.
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM, HRCI, AIRS, or LinkedIn Talent Solutions certifications.

Expected Salary Range

$130,000.00 - $227,000.00
