
Backed by a major non-profit healthcare consortium, our client is a newly formed, well-funded healthcare technology spin-off on a mission to fix a broken industry. We are building the universal operating system for healthcare—an AI-native, event-driven platform connecting payers, providers, and patients.
Reporting directly to the Director of IT Delivery, the Principal IT Delivery Strategist will serve as the mastermind behind how we execute. You will not be managing a team of project managers; rather, you will architect the repeatable, enterprise-grade operating model that governs our largest and most complex IT initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect the Operating Model: Design, build, and implement a highly repeatable, scalable delivery framework for large, complex IT initiatives across a modern cloud/AI ecosystem.
Define the Gold Standard: Create and enforce rigid, efficient standards for the entire project lifecycle, including launch protocols, continuous governance, risk mitigation, and formal closure.
Executive Communication Frameworks: Develop standardized, transparent communication cadences and reporting structures that provide executive stakeholders with real-time insights into project health and velocity.
Change Management & Education: Act as the chief evangelist for the new operating model. Work deeply with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, product, security) to educate, gain buy-in, and seamlessly transition them to the new standards.
Strategic Advisory: Partner directly with IT leadership to identify delivery bottlenecks, refine methodologies, and ensure our execution engine aligns perfectly with our aggressive commercial roadmap.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of progressive experience in IT Delivery, Technical Program Management, or PMO Strategy, with a proven track record operating at a Principal, Architect, or Strategist level (this is a high-level individual contributor role, not a standard Senior Manager).
Zero-to-One Framework Building: Demonstrated experience designing, launching, and scaling an IT operating model or governance framework from scratch within a complex enterprise environment.
Modern Tech Ecosystem Context: Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles (SDLC). You must understand how to govern and deliver cloud-native (Azure preferred), data-heavy, and AI-driven initiatives.
Elite Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional ability to educate, influence, and drive adoption across resistant or siloed teams without relying on direct reporting authority.
Process Obsession: A relentless focus on repeatability, standardization, and eliminating administrative friction so engineering teams can focus on building.
