What you’ll do

The role responsibilities include:

  • Lead Instrumentation and Control engineering activities across FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction support, and commissioning phases.
  • Deliver and review key engineering deliverables including instrument datasheets, specifications, instrument index, I/O lists, cable schedules, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and material take-offs.
  • Develop and review instrumentation and control system designs including DCS, PLC, ESD/IPS, FGS, and machine monitoring systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Instrument Engineers and Designers to ensure quality and consistency of engineering deliverables within project schedule and budget requirement.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, procurement, and construction personnel throughout project execution.
  • Support proposal development, engineering estimates, project planning, and technical bid evaluations.
  • Participate in design reviews, HAZOP workshops, constructability reviews, and client meetings as required.
  • Support site activities including surveys, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup, and field engineering support when required.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, and company procedures.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of project change management and effectively apply the process to scope variations.

What you’ll have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 15+ years of Instrumentation and Control engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, offshore, or energy projects.
  • Proven experience delivering FEED and detailed engineering projects within EPC/EPCM environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of field instrumentation, control systems, DCS, PLC, ESD/IPS, FGS, and industrial communication systems.
  • Extensive experience preparing and reviewing instrumentation deliverables and engineering documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and coordinating multidisciplinary project activities.
  • Experience working directly with clients, licensors, vendors, and construction contractors.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and schedule commitments.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and confidently in English, both verbally and through presentations.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge through self-learning, take initiative in proposing new ideas, and challenge conventional thinking to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Have the courage to provide constructive feedback and speak up about what is right and what is wrong.
