Wood is currently recruiting for a Rotational Support Engineer – Instrument & Control Engineer. This is a contract opportunity, working out of our Sunbury office on a hybrid basis.

The Role

The rotational support Instrument & Control (I&C) Engineer will provide day to day I&C Engineering support for site operations related queries / activities / risks to delivery of safe, reliable and compliant operations. Collaborates with site-based team to ensure that identified longer term engineering solutions are progressed to the appropriate team to reduce risk and grow production.

The key objectives for this role are:

  • Performs day to day I&C Engineering support to deliver immediate operations support, working closely with the site team to resolve issues under the direction of the Operations Engineering Manager
  • Ensures that asset I&C Engineering risks are understood, appropriately risk assessed, and actions driven to reduce risk within agreed timeframe
  • Defines I&C Engineering operating envelopes, monitors health of static I&C Engineering equipment using operating envelopes, records and investigates excursions outside operating envelopes
  • Monitors I&C Engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and initiates corrective action as necessary
  • Provides I&C Engineering support to technical Management of Change (MoCs) and Engineering Queries (EQs)
  • Identifies production vulnerabilities and optimization opportunities to support production forecast and growth
  • Write, review, recommend technical input into Site Operations Procedures (SOPs)
  • Provides I&C Engineering coaching to North Oil Company (NOC) and North Gas Company (NGC) engineers
  • Generates, revises, reviews discipline Technical Documentation

Expected:

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline and / or equivalent relevant professional qualification
  • Significant experience in an Operations I&C Engineering support role
  • Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering, with sound knowledge of the relevant industry codes, standards and regulations, and the ability to initiate guidance on the appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks
  • Sound stakeholder management experience
