Job Description

At Protegrity, we lead innovation by using AI and quantum-resistant cryptography to transform data protection across cloud-native, hybrid, on-premises, and open source environments. We leverage advanced cryptographic methods such as tokenization, format-preserving encryption, and quantum-resilient techniques to protect sensitive data. As a global leader in data security, our mission is to ensure that data isn’t just valuable but also usable, trusted, and safe.

Protegrity offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of innovation and collaboration, with the ability to make a meaningful impact on the industry while working alongside some of the brightest minds. Together, we are redefining how the world safeguards data, enabling organizations to thrive in a GenAI era where data is the ultimate currency. If you're ready to shape the future of data security, Protegrity is the place for you.

This is a hands‑on, delivery first Principal IC role with a clear 70% focus on delivery and execution and 30% on architecture and design. It’s ideal for a senior engineer who thrives in complex enterprise implementations, enjoys technical leadership, and wants direct customer impact. You’ll serve as a technical authority within delivery—owning execution, setting standards, mentoring senior engineers, and stepping in as the escalation point for high‑impact engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end implementation and validation of platform components across complex client environments

  • Act as the technical escalation point for delivery challenges and critical customer engagements

  • Mentor and guide Senior Implementation Engineers; raise the bar on delivery quality and best practices

  • Drive installations, configuration, and performance validation for enterprise deployments

  • Lead troubleshooting and optimization during key delivery milestones and customer technical discussions

  • Own time boxed discovery and design work (approximately 30% of the role) when the Lead Architect is unavailable

  • Partner with the Lead Architect on architecture reviews and peer design sessions

  • Define and evolve technical delivery standards, frameworks, and reusable assets

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software implementation, integration engineering, or technical delivery

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Python, plus one additional language (e.g., Java, C#)

  • Deep experience with APIs, integrations, and data movement (REST, ETL, transformation pipelines)

  • Advanced experience with cloud‑native and DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Proven multi‑cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP

  • Strong Linux administration, scripting, and production troubleshooting skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technically without people management responsibility

  • Comfortable operating independently across multiple concurrent initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud certifications at the Professional / Expert level (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Kubernetes certification (CKA) or equivalent real‑world experience

  • Experience delivering integration‑heavy platforms in complex enterprise environments

  • Background designing secure, scalable solutions aligned with enterprise security standards

Should you accept this position, you will be required to consent to and successfully complete a background investigation. This may include, subject to local laws, verification of extended education and additional criminal and civil checks.

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits with generous vacation and holiday time off. All employees are also provided access to ongoing learning & development.

Ensuring a diverse and inclusive workplace is our priority. We are committed to an environment of acceptance where you are free to bring your full self to work. All qualified applicants and current employees will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, disability or veteran status.
