Job Description

STATEMENT:

Technical Specialist – Principal Applications Analyst I, is a versatile and highly motivated individual who would be responsible for leading the definition, design and building of technology solutions in support of the business requirements. The individual liaises with business teams, development, QA, Dev Ops and end users on the functional requirements definition, design, implementation and maintenance of software systems and will often manage multiple complex projects that require input from across functions. The candidate is expected to have solid experience in the implementation of both custom solutions and packaged/ERP solutions such as Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce. The candidate should have experience leading project delivery for large scale, global implementations and should be willing to take accountability and ownership of end to end project delivery leading to successful implementations.

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Very good understanding of applications, business processes, system integration points, data integration points and ability to analyze requirements in-depth to achieve the business outcome in the most optimal way.
  • Manage multiple complex projects that require coordination between development, QA and product team using Agile methodologies including SCRUM, Kanban, Scaled Agile etc. as required
  • Ability to handle custom in-house built applications and packaged solutions such as Oracle, Microsoft and Salesforce solutions.
  • Serves as a mentor, subject-matter expert, and provides recommendations to technical teams to build well-designed, fast performing systems with seamless user experience
  • Functional expertise of the systems supported and the development of a framework for system implementation and maintenance.
  • Work with program management office and business relationship managers to understand scope, priorities and budget to implement projects and maintenance of systems.
  • Verification of the feasibility of requested functionality and validation of support for business rules based on existing technical systems and data structures.
  • Ability to create and present key requirements artifacts, including but not limited to:
    • Scope Document
    • Business Requirements Document
    • Detailed Specification of Key Business Rules
    • Use Cases
    • Activity Diagram
    • Business Process Mapping Diagrams and Documentations
    • Gap Analysis
    • User Stories
    • Presentations (PowerPoint and Word Documents) for a non-technical business audience
  • The ability to interview various non-technical managers to understand complex, dynamic business rules/processes and then create detailed requirements documentation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:

  • Excellent functional skills with Oracle ERP R12 and Oracle Saas Cloud
  • BRD, AIIM and functional documentation expertise. Coordinate with business users and draft requirements, map business process to functional process in Oracle EBS
  • Moderate technical skills with PL/SQL, SQL, Workflow, Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Oracle Development Tools and good debugging skills.
  • Proficiency with Oracle OCI, Oracle Paas for custom solutions. Ability to build VBCS Extensions in Cloud
  • Proficiency in Oracle Advanced Pricing, Modifiers, pricing formulas and qualifiers in Oracle R12 and Saas Cloud
  • Test case preparation and business process use cases documentation.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Applications R12 and Oracle Fusion
  • Understanding of different interfacing mechanisms, Web Services, ETL, etc
  • Expertise in End-to-End Oracle Order to Cash, Order to Shipping cycles. Expertise in modules OM, INV and Shipping
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces etc.), including understanding of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements into them.
  • Hands-on software troubleshooting experience and Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
  • Experience with change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Oracle and ERP API’s
  • Ability to identify system impact for small- and large-scale initiatives
  • Experience with global implementations of Oracle EBS Applications, building highly available, scalable, and secure systems.
  • Coordinate migrations/implementation of changes between the different Application environments (i.e., Development, Test, and Production).
  • Expertise in the Interfaces, conversion and data migration between different Oracle ERP modules, Oracle Cloud, Salesforce and 3rd party applications.
  • Experience working in a DevOps Framework.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment
  • Passion for measuring and improving code.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, multitasking and presentation skills

Experience:

  • 6+ years demonstrated experience in the Technology/IT industry.
  • 6+ years demonstrated experience with business application/business analysis on an enterprise wide system.
  • Understanding of enterprise and consumer technology concepts including client/server languages and architectures, ERP systems, CRM, SCM, cloud architectures, web and mobile application development, transactional and non-transactional database concepts, etc.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
  • 3+ years’ experience working with packaged applications such as Oracle or Microsoft or Salesforce or similar
  • 2+ years’ experience with complex, multi-national application implementations
  • Must have Project Delivery lead experience and ability to lead and mentor junior team members.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
