The Principal HR Data Analyst leverages advanced analytics, data science, and workforce insights to provide actionable recommendations and strategic guidance to HR leadership and business leaders. This role is deeply collaborative, partnering with HRBPs and HR leaders to address complex talent, workforce, and business questions through data.

By combining strong business acumen with sophisticated analytical capabilities, the Principal HR Data Analyst transforms complex workforce data into clear insights, forecasts, scenarios, and recommendations that support critical business decisions. The role will contribute to both established and emerging analytical priorities, including workforce growth, compensation and workforce cost, hiring and attrition, and other high-impact talent initiatives.

  • Apply advanced analytical and technical capabilities—including SQL, Python and/or R, statistical techniques, Oracle reporting and analytics tools, and advanced Excel—to identify trends, evaluate drivers, automate analyses, and develop predictive or forward-looking insights.
  • Explore and apply AI, machine learning, and emerging analytical techniques to improve the speed, scalability, and sophistication of HR analytics, while ensuring appropriate validation, governance, and responsible use of employee data.
  • Exercise sound judgment and ensure responsible handling, analysis, and release of sensitive employee data, adhering to applicable data governance, privacy, and security standards.
  • Work independently to prioritize multiple priorities and high-visibility requests in a fast-paced, agile environment, demonstrating strong ownership, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and accountability.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and proactively identify emerging workforce trends, risks, and analytical opportunities; consult with HRBPs and leaders to recommend data-driven approaches and solutions.
  • Synthesize complex analyses into clear business implications, scenarios, and recommendations, communicating effectively through executive-ready written narratives, presentations, and visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Successful candidates will ideally bring the following:

  • An advanced College or University degree in Data Science, Statistics, Data Management, Economics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related quantitative field
  • 8+ years of experience in people analytics, data science, business analytics, workforce planning, or a related analytical discipline
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling, forecasting, predictive analytics, or scenario analysis
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, or generative AI to analytical or business workflows
  • Experience analyzing compensation, workforce cost, hiring, attrition, or other workforce financial measures
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, OTBI, BI Publisher, and/or Oracle Analytics Cloud
