Principal FP&A Analyst – (GovCon)

Location: Fairfax, VA | Hybrid

Reports to: VP of Finance

As Principal FP&A Analyst, you’ll be the strategic finance partner driving insights that shape business decisions. This is an opportunity to influence growth in a high-complexity GovCon environment, supporting programs that matter on a national scale.

What You’ll Do

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple programs and corporate initiatives

• Develop and maintain complex financial models for revenue, margin, and cash flow analysis

• Provide actionable insights to senior leadership through variance analysis and scenario planning

• Support pricing strategies and cost proposals for government contracts (T&M, CPFF, FFP)

• Partner with operations and program managers to optimize resource allocation and profitability

• Prepare Board-level presentations and investor reporting packages

• Drive process improvements and implement best practices in FP&A systems and reporting

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus)

• 8+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including GovCon exposure

• Strong understanding of FAR/CAS compliance and indirect rate structures

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and BI tools (Navision/Business Central preferred)

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders

• Prior experience in aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments
