A Day in the Life

This Principal Financial Analyst for ACEE region serves as a key strategic finance partner, providing advanced financial planning and analysis to support business decisions, long-range strategy, and Medtronic’s annual operating plan for specific countries in scope. The role leads complex modelling, scenario analysis, and performance insight across multiple countries and businesses, partnering closely with regional leadership, commercial teams, and functional stakeholders. The Principal Financial Analyst drives disciplined P&L management, supports AOP/IBP, forecasts and SIP/MIP-related processes, and ensures strong governance over revenue, margin, and cash metrics. This position also mentors other finance team members, champions continuous improvement in tools and processes, and role‑models the Medtronic Mindset in all interactions.

The role can be located in Prague or Warsaw, related to markets the person will be supporting. Local language knowledge will be preferred, so candidate can engage in discussion with local LT and customers on the ground. 2 countries or more will be supported by the candidate. Travel expectations would be up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Oversee all financial planning, analysis, and forecasting for the assigned, ensuring alignment with global strategies and local market dynamics
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the regional leadership team, providing financial expertise to support commercial strategies, new investments, and operational efficiency
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial statements and management reports, coordinating with local and corporate teams
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation initiatives, ensuring robust internal controls and compliance with Medtronic policies and local regulations
  • Monitor key financial and operational metrics, drive continuous improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Be part of ACEE finance team, engage in finance team activities and actively contribute to developing a high-performing finance team across the region, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business leaders, global finance, banks, and government agencies where applicable, be the go-to person for local country LT’s when it comes to business decisions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience
  • Knowledge of ACEE regional financial regulations and business practices
  • Advanced expertise in financial systems (SAP as advantage, PBI, reporting systems or similar) and data analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills
  • Proven track record in driving business results through financial stewardship
  • Fluency in English (local language as strong advantage).

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik: Czechia: 1,320,000.00 CZK - 1,980,000.00 CZK | Poland: 212,000.00 PLN - 318,000.00 PLN | This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
