We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer – UI/UX Design to lead the creation of intuitive, scalable, and user-centered product experiences. In this role, you will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and executive stakeholders to translate complex business problems into effective design solutions that align with product and business goals.
Partner with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and executive stakeholders to advocate for user-centric solutions aligned with business goals.
Apply design thinking processes to influence product roadmaps, support executive-level decisions, and develop strong design solutions.
Lead high-level user research and usability testing, using both qualitative feedback and quantitative product analytics to measure the impact of design decisions.
Translate ambiguous, high-level business problems into intuitive, structured, and scalable design solutions.
Produce high-quality design outputs including flow diagrams, wireframes, graphic designs, storyboards, and site maps.
Mentor junior and mid-level designers, review their work to maintain high-quality standards, and champion a strong UX culture within the organization.
Plan and conduct usability testing in accordance with IEC 62366 and own usability documentation.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communication Design, Interaction Design, or an equivalent discipline.
15+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
Ability to solve complex design problems and create user-friendly interfaces.
A strong eye for aesthetics, detail, and visual consistency.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong portfolio showcasing visual design, problem-solving, prototyping, and end-to-end design thinking.
Experience in medical device front-end development, including IEC 62366 usability documentation.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools.
Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, storyboards, and site maps.
Knowledge of usability testing, user research methods, and design validation practices.
Understanding of medical device usability standards and documentation practices is preferred.
Travel Percentage: 10%
