We are seeking a highly skilled Principal STA Engineer to serve as the technical authority for signoff timing convergence within our Physical Design organization. This role requires deep expertise in STA, strong hands‑on execution, and the ability to define and drive shift‑left signoff strategies. You will collaborate closely across teams on constraints, optimization, and timing analysis to ensure predictable, high‑quality SoC closure.

What You’ll Do

• Own SoC‑level signoff STA, including timing ECO delivery and GLS enablement.

• Drive robust co‑optimization strategies to achieve benchmark PPAS targets.

• Develop and maintain PPAS/status dashboards.

• Collaborate with Soc development teams for design convergence and consistent signoff.

• Rationalize timing margins and provide guidance.

• Analyze design metrics and collateral to propose data‑driven process improvements.

• Apply reuse methodologies for IP, libraries, and flows to accelerate execution.

• Automate and enhance STA flows using TCL, Python, or Perl to improve productivity and repeatability.

Other Responsibilities

Perform all duties in a safe, responsible manner while supporting all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHSS) programs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 18+years of hands‑on STA experience, shift left strategies for predictable signoff.

• Ability to define, implement, and mature tools and methodologies starting from a blank slate.

• Adept in SoC level MCMM STA, physically aware ECO generation, supporting GLS etc

• Familiarity with advanced process nodes, DFT timing modes and analysis, and IP integration.

• Defining timing margins, reviewing/ownership of SoC STA/SSTA signoff, spice circuit level analysis.

• Strong scripting experience (TCL, Python, Perl) for flow automation and debugging.

• Strong analytical mindset with excellent communication and cross‑team collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering custom silicon for automotive, HPC, or AI applications.

• Proactive adoption of new tools, flows, and design‑reuse best practices.

• Highly detail‑oriented, quality‑focused, and committed to on‑time delivery.
