About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge mobile and cross-platform applications. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical expert with deep expertise in iOS development and a strong foundation in modern mobile, backend, and web technologies. In this role, you will drive architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-centric applications.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and development of mobile applications for iOS platforms supporting JBL products.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to development teams.

  • Establish and enforce best practices for coding standards, architecture, performance optimization, and CI/CD processes.

  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Conduct code reviews, ensure high engineering quality, and drive technical excellence across projects.

  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve development efficiency and product quality.

  • Diagnose complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.

  • Ensure the scalability, security, and maintainability of application components.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • 10+ years of experience in mobile application development.

  • Strong expertise in iOS development using Objective-C and Swift.

  • Experience working with mobile frameworks such as Flutter.

  • Hands-on experience with backend and middleware technologies, including Node.js.

  • Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3.

  • Strong programming skills in Core Java.

  • Experience working with BLE/BR-EDR protocols.

  • Solid understanding of the mobile application lifecycle, UI frameworks, performance optimization, and debugging.

  • Proven ability to drive innovation, adopt emerging technologies, and influence strategic technical direction.

Bonus Points if You Have

  • B.Tech or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience in utilizing AI tools.

  • Cloud certification is preferred.

  • Experience working in the Consumer Audio domain.

  • Experience collaborating with global R&D teams.
