We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Principal Engineer specializing in Roads and Highways to join our dynamic engineering organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal leadership role, you will drive the design, development, and successful delivery of complex transportation infrastructure projects while fostering innovation and excellence across our engineering teams. As a key technical authority, you will shape the future of road and highway infrastructure in the region, combining strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise.

• Lead the design, planning, and implementation of large-scale road and highway projects, ensuring adherence to UAE and KSA design standards and regulations
• Provide strategic technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development to junior engineers and cross-functional project teams
• Develop and champion innovative, sustainable solutions for transportation infrastructure challenges specific to the Gulf region's climate and terrain
• Oversee the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM) across infrastructure projects and coordinate effectively with multiple disciplines
• Conduct comprehensive technical reviews, quality assurance audits, and validation checks on all project deliverables to ensure excellence
• Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, and clients to align project objectives with organizational goals and deliver projects on schedule and within budget
• Contribute to business development initiatives, proposal writing, and client presentations to support organizational growth
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and evolving standards in road and highway engineering
• Analyze complex technical challenges and implement decisive, data-driven solutions with meticulous attention to detail
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalent professional qualification recognized in the UAE or GCC region
• Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in road and highway engineering with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects
• Advanced proficiency with industry-standard design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and related tools
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering BIM Infrastructure projects with strong multi-disciplinary coordination capabilities
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• In-depth knowledge of road and highway design standards, regulations, and best practices in the UAE, GCC, and international contexts
• Specialized expertise in sustainable and innovative road construction techniques, including desert and arid climate infrastructure solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and quality orientation
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities with proven experience mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural, diverse team environments and build strong stakeholder relationships
• Willingness to travel to project sites and construction locations as required for project oversight and quality assurance
• Proficiency in analyzing industry trends and translating emerging technologies into practical project applications
