Wood Chennai Office is hiring the candidate for the Principal Engineer in Control & Instrumentation expertise in Offshore FPSO Projects Oil & Gas project experience is preferred.

Due to the nature of the projects the sites are spread across Global. Therefore, this role can be based at any of our Chennai offices on a hybrid / remote basis with the expectation of regular travel as required.

Wood Chennai Office is hiring the candidate for the Principal Engineer in Control & Instrumentation expertise in Offshore FPSO Projects Ability to prepare and check engineering deliverables in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment (Essential) Oil & Gas project experience is preferred.

Typical responsibilities:

Completes technical design work to a high standard in line with Project requirements in following domain:

  • Experienced in Offshore Green field projects (Well head, LQ, Riser Platform, Process platforms, FPSO, FPU, FSO) as Lead or Area Lead
  • Experienced in preparation of specifications for Field Instrumentation and actuated Valves
  • Preparation of Architecture and Specification for ICSS
  • Sizing and selection of Flow instruments, Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves
  • Experienced in adequacy check for instrumentation and Valves
  • Experience in Custody and Fiscal Metering system
  • Modification of Control and Safety systems (DCS/ SIS/ FGS) and RTU
  • Experience in Modifications of WHCP and Hydraulic shutdown Systems
  • Experience in preparation of Material Requisition & Technical Bid Evaluation for Field Instruments, Control Valves.
  • Experience in providing input to package equipment’s like Gas Turbine driven Process Gas Compressors and Gas Turbo Generators
  • Post order review for Field instruments and Control Valves
  • Post Order review for Controls systems, PLC, RTU
  • Ability to lead medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment (Essential).

Expected:

  • Graduate in Electronics & Instrumentation / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Instrumentation (Essential).
  • Postgraduate in Instrumentation Engineering (Desirable).
  • Membership to Professional Organisations (Desirable).
  • A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in Control & Instrumentation Engineering environment with lead role in project execution (Essential).
  • Proven expertise EPC Engineering execution including Field Engineering in Project execution (Desirable).
