Job Description

Controlled Title Holders (CTHs) combine a high level of technical expertise with sound business
acumen and a good understanding of engineering processes. CTHs are part of a formal career path
for technical personnel wanting to continue to develop and grow their technical competencies while
having increasingly more impact on the business.
As recognized experts in specialized fields, they normally lead or support projects and initiatives with
broad scope and high impact to the business. They are responsible for major and complex
assignments with long-term business implications. This role contributes to the overall strategy and
manages complex issues within functional area of expertise.

Essencial Responsabilities

  • Technology Strategy:Assist Consulting Engineers in defining business technology roadmaps and Multi-Generational Product Plans (MGPP).
  • Design Governance:Chair design reviews for components and deliverables, while ensuring adherence to established engineering guidelines.
  • Technical Solutions:Develop and implement innovative engineering solutions to drive competitive, market-winning project proposals.
  • Project & Field Support:Provide critical technical direction for large-scale projects and offer expert consultation for complex field or supplier issues.
  • IP & Representation:Protect company intellectual property via the Patent Evaluation Board and represent the business at industry bodies (e.g., IEC, CIGRE).
  • Continuous Improvement:Document and communicate "lessons-learned" across the organization to mitigate risks and prevent repeat errors.
  • Operational Execution:Actively manage product introduction, cost optimization, schedule adherence, and cross-functional problem resolution.
  • Ad-hoc Advisory:Serve as a technical advisor to leadership for high-stakes tasks, such as customer negotiations and supplier audits.
  • Competency Development:Establish structured training schemes and refine engineering competency frameworks for the business line.
  • Talent Management:Mentor high-potential staff, support succession planning, and participate in technical recruitment and promotion interviews.

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • Experience in an Engineering capacity
  • Fluent in Portugues and English

Desired Characteristics:

  • Preferably having taken a Senior Engineer role
  • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • • Able to pursue Engineering integrity in adverse conditions
  • • Able to interface effectively with most levels of the organization
