Principal Engineer

What You Will Do

• Serve as a senior technical authority, shaping the technical strategy across full-stack, machine learning, and engineering leadership domains.
• Architect, design, and build scalable production systems utilizing Python, TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Lead the deployment of cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring optimal reliability and performance.
• Manage containerized workloads and orchestration with Kubernetes, implementing best practices for scalability.
• Establish observability standards using Prometheus to ensure system health and facilitate proactive incident response.
• Mentor and lead engineers across various disciplines, enhancing the overall capability of the engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions.

Ideal Candidate Background

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of operating at a principal or staff level.
• Deep proficiency in Python and TypeScript, with strong experience in building full-stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Extensive experience designing and operating systems on major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong command of Kubernetes for managing container orchestration in production environments.
• Proven ability to implement monitoring and alerting pipelines using Prometheus or similar observability tools.

Preferred

• Experience with AI/LLM systems or complex data infrastructure.
• Background in high-quality AI or Devtools companies, showcasing platform thinking.
• Familiarity with observability, MLOps, or AI tooling platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this role ranges from $250,000 to $300,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This is a fully remote position within the United States, allowing for a flexible work environment.
