Posting Title: Principal Engineer (Test) Front Line Care

Your Role at Baxter:

Baxter’s Front Line Care business is a 1.1B$ business comprising of Connected monitoring, Respiratory health, Cardiology, Intelligent diagnostic groups. The products, used by clinicians in acute and ambulatory care settings globally.

A Principal Engineer (Test) for V&V will be responsible for formulating Test Analysis, Test strategy , Automation framework, Drive Test quality improvements Across Platforms, New Product development and sustaining engineering catering to our portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid “hands-on” technical abilities, an excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.

This position does not have any direct reports. You will need to work collaboratively with R&D and cross functions.

The role is located in the BRD facility in Bangalore India

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

§ 10-15 years of experience in Test / V&V Activities with Minimum of 3-5 years as a Test Lead for a medical product

§ Responsible for the Test analysis, Test design ,Design of automation framework, Develop automation scripts, make design choices for new product development, sustenance activities, field issue resolution etc.

§ Reviews and approves the test deliverables for releases/Project

§ Solid understanding and implementation of TDD & BDD

§ Demonstrates customer focus by ensuring quality of releases and timely resolution of field reported issues

§ Identifies key module/product level technical risks and assists in developing mitigation and recovery plan

§ Provides guidance to development and test teams with respect to overall design and development.

§ Leads and coaches/Mentors V&V team members in the team.

§ Drives the application of principles of SDLC and methodologies like IEC62304, Lean/Agile, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and testing techniques.

§ Represents V&V function in core team meetings

Qualifications / Experience and/or Background

§ Excellent Test analysis, design and implementation skills (preferably for a product ground up)

§ Strong Object-Oriented development and design knowledge and experience

§ Deep understanding of technology & test development principles:

a. Analysis and Design: Object oriented architecture, Design Patterns

b. Programming Languages like Python etc.

c. Development and Continuous Integration tools like Azure DevOps, BitBucket etc.

d. Hands on working in Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)

e. Web framework : Express, Java Spring boot, Django

f. Automation tools/Languages : Selenium, Python

§ Exposure and Hands on working knowledge in TDD & BDD

§ Exposure and Hands on working knowledge in Cloud technologies (Azure)

§ Demonstrated success in delivering results on technical challenges on enterprise products.

§ Good understanding of Healthcare domain (regulations and standards) and Medical software development process.
