Description

To identify, assess and advise on workplace health, environmental and work processes, recommending measures to eliminate, minimize and control the risks You will conduct or coordinate EHS training to employees, conduct periodic EHS audits and surveys to identify level of implementation and the effectiveness of EHS management system. You will identify potential gaps or improvement opportunities, recommend measures and improvement plans to management. The EHS engineer will also liaise with external organizations and the authorities on EHS compliance issues.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job and environment hazard and risk assessments, perform workplace evaluations, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Apply relevant licenses, conduct tests and provide necessary inspection reports on environment and safety to drive improvement
• Lead and continually review existing Fab processes and equipment for EHS compliance, including managing waste, air, water, chemicals, gases and others
• Manage semiconductor process safety, establish Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) culture, implement and enhance the EHS program for employees and contractors
• Perform regular and ad-hoc inspections. audits and supervise hazardous operations safely
• Lead and facilitate ERT (Emergency Response Teams) related activities such as factory emergency response, fire, gas leak and others. To carry our yearly fire and other relevant drills.
• Collaborate with relevant departments and lead the ISO14001, ISO45001, RBA and other management systems certification and compliances
• Provide technical, regulatory and process guidance to address emerging EHS issues
• To work with the corporate teams to ensure timely reporting and updates

Required Experience and Skills

• Diploma/Specialist Diploma / Degree in WSH, Engineering, or with relevant certification and accreditations eg. workplace safety and health officer.
• Minimum 5 year of experiences in Electronics or Semiconductor manufacturing industry in WSH.
• Strong analytical skills and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills to work effectively across functions and teams with diverse backgrounds
• Goal driven and an excellent team player that can work under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
