About the Role

The Principal, Digital Delivery – Workday is responsible for leading the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of Workday solutions that enable key business processes and support Primient’s broader digital strategy. This role partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to translate functional needs into scalable system solutions, lead enhancements and integrations, and ensure reliable delivery across the Workday landscape.

Serving as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, the Principal bridges business requirements with technical capabilities, drives cross-functional initiatives, and helps optimize processes, system performance, and user experience.

Experience with SAP FICO is preferred and will support broader enterprise integration and Finance-related initiatives, but strong Workday expertise is the primary requirement for the role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and Advance the Workday Portfolio: Lead delivery, enhancements, integrations, and continuous improvement across Workday, ensuring alignment with business priorities, timelines, and budgets.

  • Serve as a Strategic Partner and Workday SME: Advise business stakeholders on process design, system capabilities, and solution options to maximize the value of Workday.

  • Lead Cross-Functional Delivery: Coordinate business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and implementation partners to deliver effective solutions and resolve issues.

  • Manage Roadmaps and Governance: Develop and maintain solution roadmaps, delivery plans, timelines, dependencies, documentation, and governance requirements.

  • Engage and Align Stakeholders: Serve as a key point of contact for business leaders and project stakeholders, providing updates, managing expectations, and maintaining momentum.

  • Identify Transformation Opportunities: Partner with business and process owners to identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, integrations, and user experience.

  • Ensure Quality and Change Control: Oversee testing, validation, documentation, approvals, and change management to support successful releases.

  • Manage Portfolio Financials: Support budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis for assigned initiatives.

  • Provide Leadership and Mentoring: Guide delivery teams, support knowledge sharing, and foster accountability and collaboration across IT and the business.

About You

Knowledge

  • Core business domains, with emphasis on HR and Finance processes

  • Strong knowledge of Workday and enterprise application delivery

  • Working knowledge of SAP FICO and Finance-related integrations preferred

  • IT systems and architecture, including integrations across enterprise platforms

  • Project and delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, SAFe, lifecycle management, and governance

  • Vendor management, SLA management, and contract negotiation practices

Required and Preferred Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Management, or a related field required

Required and Preferred Work Experience

  • 5–7 years of overall IT experience required

  • 5+ years of functional systems experience required

  • Strong hands-on or functional experience with Workday required

  • Experience with SAP FICO or Finance systems preferred

  • 5+ years of project, product, or delivery management experience required

  • Proven track record delivering complex enterprise technology solutions

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across business, IT, developers, analysts, testers, and vendors

  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, risks, and resources for mid- to large-scale initiatives

  • Experience supporting HR, Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and/or Procurement processes preferred

Total Rewards

The annual pay range estimated for this position is $129,595.20 - $161,994.00 and is bonus eligible.

Please note that while this range reflects the full spectrum of compensation available for this role, individual compensation will be determined based on several factors including your experience, skills, and alignment with the role's responsibilities.During the interview process there will be an opportunity to discuss how your background fits into the pay range.
