Position: Principal Consultant (Processing)

Location: Global

We are looking for a Principal Consultant (Processing) to join our Transactions and
Corporate Team, based in any of our offices in Australia, Canada, South Africa or UK.

In this role, you will provide technical expertise in mineral processing to support mining studies, technical due diligence, and strategic advisory projects. You will work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality technical advice while contributing to project delivery, client relationships, and business development.

The salary package offered for this position will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

Skills and Competencies:

Core functions

  • Lead and deliver mineral processing consulting assignments for mining projects
  • Provide technical input into scoping studies, PFS, DFS, and operational reviews
  • Conduct and support technical due diligence for transactions, investments, and project financing
  • Review metallurgical testwork, processing flowsheets, and plant design concepts
  • Prepare and review high-quality technical reports and project deliverables
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Identify opportunities to support business development and proposal preparation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mining, geology, and engineering
  • Mentor and support junior consultants where required

Competencies

  • Strong technical expertise in mineral processing and metallurgy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and organisational abilities
  • Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify consulting opportunities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mining engineering or a closely related discipline
  • A minimum of 15+ years of practical experience as relevant to the
    responsibilities listed above.
  • Significant experience in mineral processing within mining operations
    or consulting
  • Experience contributing to mining studies and technical due diligence
  • Strong report writing and technical communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical work and manage client engagements
