Job Description

At Inovus, we help organisations unlock the full potential of Data & AI through strategic advisory, consulting and delivery. We partner with enterprise clients to solve complex business challenges, helping them turn ambition into measurable outcomes through pragmatic, commercially focused transformation.

We're looking for a Principal Client Partner to help shape the next stage of our growth. This is a strategic, client-facing role where you'll lead the acquisition and development of enterprise accounts, working with some of the world's most recognised organisations to define and deliver high-impact Data & AI programmes.

Owning the full sales cycle, you'll build relationships with senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Transformation Directors and business leaders, identifying opportunities, shaping propositions and creating commercially robust solutions alongside our Delivery and Pre-Sales teams.

This role goes beyond winning new business. You'll play a key part in refining our go-to-market strategy, developing propositions, influencing commercial direction and helping establish the foundations for future growth. Working within an entrepreneurial environment, you'll have the opportunity to shape both your market and the future of Inovus as one of our early commercial leaders.

Our approach is simple. We start with business outcomes, not technology. We focus on solving meaningful problems, delivering measurable impact and building long-term partnerships through high-quality consulting and delivery.

Requirements

We're looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional with a consulting background who combines commercial excellence with a genuine passion for helping organisations transform through Data & AI.

Essential

  • A background selling consulting services, with a strong understanding of how consulting engagements are scoped, sold and delivered.
  • At least eight years' experience selling complex services into large enterprise organisations (1,000+ employees or £500m+ revenue).
  • A proven track record of winning new enterprise clients, opening new logos and growing strategic accounts.
  • Experience leading the full sales cycle, from opportunity creation through to negotiation, contracting and successful handover into delivery.
  • Strong relationships and credibility with senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Transformation Directors, Programme Directors and executive leadership teams.
  • A demonstrable history of closing complex, multi-workstream consulting engagements.
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies, propositions and commercial approaches, rather than solely selling established offerings.
  • Existing enterprise relationships within one or more of our target sectors that can be leveraged from day one.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience shaping pricing, proposals and commercially viable solutions.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business while balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Desirables

  • Experience within Data & AI, digital transformation or related technology consulting environments.
  • Experience working alongside Delivery and Pre-Sales teams to develop outcome-based consulting engagements.
  • A track record of building long-term client partnerships that expand beyond an initial engagement.
  • The ability to contribute to the ongoing development of commercial strategy, propositions and future go-to-market capability.
  • A collaborative approach with a passion for delivering measurable client outcomes and long-term business value.
