Job Description

A highly respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, home to a dedicated team of exceptional industry experts, requires a Principal Civil / Structural Engineer to join their rail asset management division.

This is an interesting role, which will involve working on a range of projects and structures, looking at inspection, examination, assessment and design of civil engineering assets found in a rail environment.

Responsibilities:

• Production of civil and structural technical reports, specifications, designs and RAMS
• Conduct inspections of civil and structural assets, checking their condition, identifying any defects and their potential impact and recommending remedial actions
• Carrying out simple design solutions
• Take part in client meetings
• Management of a team of engineers

Requirements:

• Experience as a Principal Civil Engineer or Principal Structural Engineer, ideally within the rail sector
• Experience carrying out on-site inspection and examination of civil / structural assets
• Strong knowledge of Network Rail assurance process
• Commercial awareness
• Team management experience
• Willingness to travel across London and the South
• Driving licence
