Position Description
The Principal Change Process Leader (PCPL) is a senior strategic leader responsible for guiding and
enabling large-scale, complex change initiatives across the enterprise. This role applies deep expertise in
Conscious Change Leadership, including the 4 Quadrant Approach—Mindset, Behavior, Culture, and
Systems—to ensure successful execution of enterprise-wide change efforts. The PCPL serves as a senior
internal consultant and thought partner to executive sponsors, the Director, Strategic and Enterprise
Change Process, and cross-functional teams, ensuring change is consciously led, aligned with strategy,
and integrated across people, process,technology, and culture.


The PCPL is accountable for factoring in the human dynamics of change and enabling the
vertical/conscious development of leaders and teams. This includes designing and facilitating
interventions that address emotional, psychological, and relational aspects of change, and championing
the conscious development of leadership capacity throughout the organization.


Position-Related Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic consulting and change process leadership for enterprise and business unit-level
    initiatives.
  • Lead change strategy design, stakeholder engagement planning, and integration of change
    leadership capabilities, using the 4 Quadrant Approach (Mindset, Behavior, Culture, Systems).
  • Partner with executive leaders and sponsors to ensure successful outcomes aligned with enterprise
    priorities.
  • Co-create tools, templates, and scalable resources to strengthen the organization’s way of leading
    change.
  • Build internal change leadership capacity through coaching, facilitation, and modeling of high impact practices.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Change Process Leader on governance, development, and
    sustainment of change frameworks.
  • Act as a strategic integrator across initiatives to identify interdependencies and reduce change
    saturation.
  • Guide assessments, feedback loops, and continuous improvement of enterprise change
    effectiveness.
  • Design and facilitate interventions that address the human dynamics of change, including emotional,
    psychological, and relational factors.
  • Lead vertical development initiatives to elevate the conscious capacity of leaders and teams,
    supporting growth in self-awareness, complexity of thinking, and conscious action.
  • Model and coach conscious change leadership practices, fostering a culture of learning, adaptability,
    and resilience.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the Strategic Change Office and support strategy-culture integration.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
(Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.)

  • Deep expertise in Change Leadership methodologies (e.g., Being First, Prosci, Center for Creative
    Leadership, Agile).
  • Advanced understanding of the 4 Quadrant Approach of Conscious Change Leadership that includes
    Mindset, Behavior, Culture, Systems.
  • Demonstrated success influencing at the senior executive level and partnering with executive
    sponsors.
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and coaching skills, with the ability to build capacity for
    change at all levels.
  • Experience designing and delivering developmental experiences that build conscious leadership
    capacity.
  • Ability to integrate change leadership with related disciplines (strategy, governance, process
    improvement, project management, organizational development, operational efficiency, training,
    communications).
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and navigate ambiguity in a
    matrixed environment.
  • Strong business orientation with experience in translating business strategy into change projects.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented style with proven ability to influence effectively at all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to establish trust, credibility, and rapport.
  • Ability to make formal presentations on a variety of change-related topics, effectively
    communicating to leaders at all levels and employees across the organization.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Organizational
    Development, Business, Psychology, or
    related field).
  • At least eight years of experience in roles
    with increasing responsibility, scope, and
    complexity in change leadership,
    organizational development, or related fields.
  • Change management/leadership certification
    or advanced coursework (e.g., CCMP, Prosci,
    Center for Creative Leadership, Being First).
  • Proven track record of influencing and
    partnering with senior executives to drive
    transformation and strategic alignment.
  • Experience in utilities or highly regulated
    environments preferred


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA.
  • 10 or more years of professional experience
    in enterprise-level change leadership,
    organizational development, or strategy
    execution.
  • Certification and demonstrated expertise in
    Conscious Change Leadership and vertical
    development approaches, or comparable
    advanced methodologies.
  • Experience designing and delivering
    developmental experiences for conscious
    leadership.
  • Experience in partnering with Senior
    Executives, business unit leaders, and line
    staff to understand their needs and work
    collaboratively toward change solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the
    systems, theories, and practices of change
    leadership, organizational development,
    adult learning/development, and project
    management
