The Principal Business Consultant atSimCorp, at the IC6 grade, delivers expert solutions with a significant impact on projects and business outcomes. With typically 5-8 years of experience in consulting or a related field, this role leads projects autonomously,providesstrategic insights, and applies specializedexpertiseto design and implement complexSimCorpDimension solutions. The Principal Business Consultant collaborates with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align solutions with businessobjectives, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.

AtSimCorp, wefacilitatethe streamlining of investments, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. We do this through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. Implementing our software by way of high-quality projects is at the core of what we do. To introduce our software to our clients, business consultants are essential to us

In the role ofSPrincipalBusiness Consultant specializing in IBOR (Investment BookOfRecords), your participation will be instrumental in the expansion of our market unit and in advancing the outcomes of our clients' projects

You will normally be working full-time on implementation projects, which require your specialexpertisein the IBOR area, and you willbe responsible forall aspects of the project stream

You will act as an important sparring partner for your clients and effectivelymonitor, coordinate, and escalate issues as needed.

What you willbe responsible for

  • Lead the design and implementation of tailoredSimCorpDimension solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and strategic goals

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into actionable strategies

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants, fostering professional growth and ensuring high-quality project execution

  • Independently troubleshoot complex issues and recommend innovative solutions to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency

  • Develop andmaintaindetailed project documentation, including workflows, integration plans, and technical specifications

  • Manage client relationships and conduct regular updates to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded

  • Drive process improvements and best practices across consulting engagements tooptimizeoutcomes

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies tomaintaina competitive edge and continuously enhance solutions

As our preferred candidate you have:

  • Previousexperience as an Analyst or (Implementation) Consultant for asset managers, asset owners,banksor consulting firms

  • Excellentknow-howin at least two of the following areas:

  • Asset Management – Back Office – or Financial Reporting

  • Consulting or Professional Services within the Asset Management sector

  • An implementation role for a software vendor specializing in Asset Management software

  • Asset Management candidates should have 3-5 years of experience working hands on with the investment operations function and related enterprise applications

  • Consultants should have experience with multiple enterprise implementations involving IBOR functions on the buy side, and hands on experience with applicationssimilar toSimcorp Dimension

  • Experience with Trade processing including confirmation and/or trade settlement processes and solutions is a plus

  • Degree within Business discipline (Accounting, Finance, or Economics) or Mathematics/Applied Sciences preferred

  • Self-starter with a can-do mindset

  • Ability to manage assigned tasks and deliver the results on time

  • Have Excellent communication skills andproficiencyin English – both oral and written

  • Basic understanding of financial industry/products and related accounting

  • Hands-on experience withSimCorpDimension is a plus

  • Ability to travel to client’s site (up to 50%)

  • Can attend theSimCorpoffice 2x/week as per our hybrid policy. For NYC, 3x a week

For Toronto only:The salary range for this position is $142,480 - $213,720

CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience,skillsand qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, timeoffand Group RRSP/TFSA.
