
Principal Architect
We are supporting an established architecture firm seeking a Principal Architect to join its leadership team and play a key role in guiding the firm’s continued growth. This position combines client leadership, strategic oversight, and operational responsibility while helping shape the long-term direction of the practice.
The Principal Architect will serve as a senior advisor to clients, oversee major accounts and project portfolios, and collaborate with firm leadership to strengthen market presence, project delivery, and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic client relationships and oversee major project engagements
Guide project delivery to ensure design quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance
Contribute to firmwide strategy, growth initiatives, and long-range planning
Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams and emerging leaders
Support business development efforts and expand key client partnerships
Promote alignment between project outcomes and the firm’s mission, values, and market goals
Help foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture
Licensed Architect required
Approximately 20+ years of progressive experience within an architecture or multidisciplinary design firm
Demonstrated success managing client relationships and supporting business development efforts
Strong understanding of project delivery, contracts, budgets, and risk management
Experience leading project teams and overseeing complex project portfolios
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
