This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who can bridge data, AI, systems integration, and digital product delivery to create scalable solutions in a complex and highly regulated environment.

The Principal Analyst will work closely with engineering, data, platform, and business analysts to develop intelligent solutions that automate workflows, orchestrate information, enhance decision-making, and improve operational efficiency across CGT. This role will play a key part in shaping how agentic architectures, AI services, and enterprise data ecosystems are applied to real-world scientific and operational challenges.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and support the implementation of agentic and AI-enabled solutions for CGT use cases across commercial, development, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain
  • Translate technical and operational needs into solution designs, system requirements, integration patterns, and implementation plans
  • Partner with software engineers, data engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver scalable and secure digital solutions
  • Define and evaluate agent workflows, orchestration logic, prompt patterns, tool usage, and knowledge retrieval approaches for enterprise applications
  • Support development of solutions leveraging large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, workflow automation, APIs, and enterprise data services
  • Analyze existing systems, data flows, and technical architectures to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and modernization
  • Contribute to the design of data pipelines, integration frameworks, and system interoperability models supporting agentic platforms
  • Ensure solutions align with security, privacy, validation, and compliance requirements in a regulated biotechnology environment
  • Establish technical standards, performance measures, and operational monitoring approaches for deployed solutions
  • Evaluate emerging AI, cloud, and automation technologies and recommend practical applications within CGT
  • Support production readiness, testing strategy, release planning, and continuous improvement of technical solutions
  • Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for agentic solution capabilities within the CGT digital ecosystem

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Hands-on experience working with AI/ML-enabled applications, enterprise platforms, system integrations, or intelligent automation solutions
  • Experience defining and supporting the implementation of technical architectures, APIs, data flows, and workflow automation patterns
  • Strong understanding of large language models, agentic systems, orchestration concepts, or applied AI solution design
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, data, and product teams in Agile or product-based delivery environments
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills with the ability to work across complex enterprise ecosystems
  • Familiarity with compliance, security, data governance, and validation considerations in regulated environments

Technical Skills Required:

  • Large language model application design and AI solution analysis
  • Agentic workflows, orchestration frameworks, and prompt design concepts
  • API design/integration and service-based architecture
  • Data modeling, data flows, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Workflow automation and intelligent process orchestration
  • SQL and data analysis skills
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems
  • Understanding of RAG architectures, vector search, knowledge retrieval, and document grounding approaches
  • Experience with tools and platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, Git, or similar technologies
  • SDLC, Agile delivery, testing, and release management practices
  • Technical documentation, solution design, and systems troubleshooting

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced degree in a technical or scientific discipline
  • Experience in Cell and Gene Therapy, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, or laboratory environments
  • Experience with conversational AI, agent frameworks, enterprise copilots, or generative AI platforms
  • Familiarity with GxP systems, CSV, validation processes, and regulated platform deployment
  • Experience working with cloud-native architectures, data engineering pipelines, or MLOps practices
  • Ability to operate as a technical lead across multiple workstreams and stakeholders
  • Experience evaluating and implementing emerging AI technologies in an enterprise setting

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in technical solution delivery, systems analysis, software/product engineering support, or platform implementation in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, or another regulated industry
