Principal Agile Delivery Lead

Responsibilities: Schedules and facilitates scrum team meetings (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review/Demo, Sprint Retro) and reinforces best practices to drive continuous improvement. Holds multiple teams to defined standards for story definition and ensures consistency across the portfolio. Servant Leader to Teams with focus on developing other Scrum Masters and Agile leaders. Provides scrum teams with execution data and advanced metrics to foster better planning and predictability. Monitors current sprint delivery across multiple teams and provides executive-level visibility into portfolio health. Supports 8-12 Scrum Teams through direct and indirect leadership. Ensures that teams' work is associated to appropriate epics and initiatives to enable proper reporting of progress and spend. Ensures sprint cadence is optimized across teams and that cross-team dependencies are effectively managed. Provides advanced coaching/training on Scrum Best practices including SAFe, capacity planning, estimation, and team dynamics. Optimize scrum team velocity across portfolio to identify systemic improvement opportunities and achieve higher levels of organizational performance. Track and resolve complex impediments that span multiple teams, holding senior leadership accountable for organizational-level blockers. Coaches teams and leaders to improve collaboration, self-organization, and psychological safety. Utilizes advanced team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, customer satisfaction, etc.) to identify strategic areas of opportunity and drive organizational improvements. Provide strategic milestone planning and tracking for multiple concurrent client-driven development initiatives. Monitors delivery health across portfolio and provides executive dashboards and stakeholder communications on program status, risks, and strategic recommendations. Train and develop other Agile Delivery Leads, serving as primary mentor and career coach for junior and mid-level Agile professionals. Integrates Agile and Lean principles into organizational practices, policies, and strategic planning processes. Eligible to telecommute 2-3 days/week from a home office within normal commuting distance of Boston.
Salary: $160,000 - $171,000
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, IT Management, Quantitative Economist, or related field with coursework that includes quantitative and qualitative knowledge, skills, tools, and tech. Experience must include four years of Agile delivery experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban or SAFe frameworks and/or technical project delivery. The stated experience must also include three years of experience with the following: working with Agile project management software /tools such as Jira and Confluence; leading Agile transformations and Scrum teams in enterprise environments; and scaled Agile frameworks. Must have Scrum Master Certification (CSM). Eligible to telecommute 2-3 days/week from a home office within normal commuting distance of Boston. Must be willing to travel annually to Texas. International travel annually to UK office.
