• Lead the targeted review of the Health and Disability Services Standard, engaging extensively with stakeholders across the health and disability sector.
• Provide strategic advice and thought leadership to inform Government and Ministry priorities and decision-making.
• Lead complex projects and cross-sector initiatives, ensuring successful delivery of key programmes and outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the Ministry, health agencies, auditing organisations, and sector partners.
• Mentor and support team capability while driving innovation, continuous improvement, and equitable outcomes aligned with Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations.

Ko ngā pūkenga ōu - What you’ll bring

• Proven experience leading complex projects and work programmes, with strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic policy development, providing high-quality advice to senior leaders and Ministers in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of the New Zealand health and disability sector, government processes, risk management, and political context.
• Exceptional communication, relationship management, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse organisations and stakeholder groups.
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equity outcomes, supported by sound judgement, critical thinking, and strategic leadership capability.
