Job Description

Job Summary:

The Principal Human Resources Business Partner will drive the talent strategy and execution for the business and functions within their assigned client groups. This individual will need to partner closely with peer BPs across the matrixed organizations to deliver thorough talent solutions. The HRBP will have accountability for multiple businesses/functions which may be located across the United States. In addition, this role collaborates with the HR Centers of Excellence (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Workforce Solutions) to deliver complete HR solutions to their internal executives, managers, and team members. This individual will help support the Business line of Growth, Engineering and potentially Processing Technologies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead change management process on values, mindsets, and behaviors as well as cross functional projects / HR related initiatives
  • Act as a strategic leader and change agent to identify, implement and analyze the success of programs to support business needs
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders / peers
  • Coach and advise managers as well as mentor employees on team interactions and manage employee relations.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to attract skilled technical talent and drive successful closure of requisitions by helping managers identify, attract and retain top talent in the organization.
  • Help managers identify developmental opportunities and performance management for their workforce
  • Deliver performance and compensation planning, talent management/succession planning and training as outlined in the Human Resources annual calendar
  • Embody Integrated mindset by connecting business and functions to drive one Management Operating System
  • Partner with business leaders to ensure employees are empowered, engaged and accountable for delivering business results
  • This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site in Andover, MA or Phoenix, AZ)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6+ years’ experience of experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Experience in supporting groups including growth, marketing, sales, programs, engineering and program management
  • Experience working across a matrixed organization and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership and planning skills with the ability to influence without authority
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and peers
  • Ability to travel within the United States based on business demands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field
  • Experience supporting employees and leaders across multi‑state or geographically dispersed organizations
  • Strong understanding of Compensation, Talent Attraction, HR Analytics, Employee relations.
  • Prior aerospace and defense industry experience
  • Certification such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR

Pay Grade Range

Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position

"• $87,100.00 - $182,900.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in FL, GA, IN, AZ, AL, MD or TX, and all remote employees

  • $97,600.00 - $204,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in VA, CA, NH or MA
  • $102,800.00 - $215,800.00 annual salary for in-office or hybrid employees in NJ"

Mercury considers a variety of factors to determine individual base salary offers to candidates, including:

  • the role and related responsibilities;
  • prior work experience;
  • education, training, skills and certifications;
  • internal equity with others employed by Mercury in similar roles;
  • geographic location; and
  • alignment with market data.
