Job Description

Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Primavera P6 Scheduler for a position in Corpus Christi, TX.

  • Review existing project, program, and portfolio schedules, calendars, coding structures, baselines, update practices, reporting, and schedule governance.
  • Assess schedule completeness, logic quality, status practices, resource and cost loading, constraints, critical path integrity, and alignment with approved project and program milestones.
  • Identify schedule gaps, data-quality issues, inconsistent methods, reporting limitations, and priority corrective actions.
  • Develop a scheduling improvement plan, stakeholder cadence, schedule-update calendar, and data-request plan.
  • Develop, rebuild, or refine Primavera P6 schedules for assigned projects and programs using approved scheduling standards.
  • Establish appropriate work breakdown structures, activity coding, calendars, logic, durations, milestones, constraints, and responsibility assignments.
  • Maintain current schedules through disciplined status collection, validation, update, review, and publication cycles.
  • Establish and maintain approved schedule baselines and preserve an auditable history of approved changes.
  • Perform schedule health checks and correct open ends, excessive constraints, invalid logic, negative float, out-of-sequence progress, and other quality issues.
  • Create and maintain integrated program schedules that consolidate individual projects and major cross-functional workstreams.
  • Define and manage interfaces, handoffs, dependencies, key decision dates, material and equipment milestones, outage windows, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and in-service milestones as applicable.
  • Identify program critical paths, near-critical paths, schedule risks, float erosion, and emerging milestone conflicts.
  • Facilitate schedule reviews with program and project teams and document decisions, corrective actions, and accountable owners.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio-level schedule views that provide management visibility across programs and strategic initiatives.
  • Create common coding, milestone, and reporting structures that support aggregation and comparison across the portfolio.
  • Identify portfolio-level dependencies, resource or execution conflicts, timing concentrations, and milestone exposure.
  • Support scenario analysis and sequencing decisions by showing the schedule effect of changes in priorities, assumptions, funding timing, project readiness, or execution strategy.
  • Support integration of schedule progress with approved scope, budget, and performance measurement baselines.
  • Apply earned value management concepts and measures, including planned value, earned value, actual cost, schedule variance, cost variance, schedule performance index, and cost performance index, where required data is available.
  • Develop time-phased progress and performance views and identify material variances requiring management attention.
  • Support estimate-at-completion and forecast discussions by providing schedule-driven completion forecasts and documented assumptions.
  • Ensure earned value and schedule reporting use consistent data definitions, status dates, baselines, and cut-off periods.
  • Produce weekly and monthly schedule reports for projects, programs, and the portfolio.
  • Develop executive-level reporting on milestone performance, critical path, float, forecast changes, schedule variance, earned value indicators, trend, and required decisions.
  • Prepare schedule narratives that explain current status, drivers, risks, corrective actions, and forecast impacts.
  • Develop look-ahead schedules and milestone dashboards appropriate for project teams, program leadership, and portfolio governance.
  • Maintain schedule change, assumption, risk, issue, and action logs supporting transparent reporting and auditability.
  • Develop or refine PMO scheduling standards, procedures, update instructions, quality criteria, templates, and reporting calendars.
  • Define schedule ownership, approval authorities, baseline and change-control expectations, status responsibilities, and escalation thresholds.
  • Coach Program Managers, Project Managers, and contributors on schedule development, status updates, logic, critical-path interpretation, and use of schedule information.
  • Transfer schedule files, reporting tools, procedures, and responsibilities to designated PMO personnel at engagement close.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Master Scheduler or senior project controls scheduler for complex capital programs and portfolios.
  • Advanced hands-on proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional or P6 EPPM, including schedule development, baselining, updating, coding, layouts, filters, reporting, and schedule analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining integrated master schedules, program-level schedules, and portfolio-level schedule views.
  • Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method scheduling, schedule logic, float, constraints, calendars, progress measurement, baseline control, schedule risk, recovery planning, and schedule quality assessment.
  • Demonstrated earned value management experience, including planned value, earned value, actual cost, schedule and cost variance, SPI, CPI, and forecast integration.
  • Experience integrating information from project managers, engineering, procurement, construction, finance, project controls, and contractors into reliable schedules and reports.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, written communication, and executive reporting skills.
  • Experience within utility, capital construction, infrastructure, transmission, distribution, or similarly complex regulated environments preferred.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, AACE PSP, EVP, or equivalent scheduling or project controls certification preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting capability required; experience with Power BI, EcoSys, or comparable project controls and reporting platforms preferred.
