St. Thomas Community Health Center is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join our clinic (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine).
We are driven by a shared vision of addressing long-standing disparities in healthcare, promoting cultural humility and a welcoming environment, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications:

  • While we prefer 3 years of experience in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Medicine and Pediatrics.
  • Board-certified in one's specialty (or pending) by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), or American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM).
  • Provides exceptional, culturally competent care to patients in a collegial atmosphere.

About St. Thomas Community Health Center:

St. Thomas is an FQHC with a 39-year legacy of providing high-quality, affordable, comprehensive healthcare in the heart of New Orleans, regardless of ability to pay. Our mission is to bridge the gap in healthcare access for those with limited options. We have 7 clinic locations in the New Orleans area and 4 in-house pharmacies. In addition to comprehensive primary care, we also provide specialty care in Cardiology, HIV Care, Rheumatology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Nephrology, OB/GYN, and Optometry. We open Monday- Friday 7:30 am to 5 Pm. Saturday am clinics are available and provide additional compensation.

About St. Thomas Community Health Center

St. Thomas Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), provides comprehensive primary care for both insured and uninsured patients in the New Orleans area.

VISION. To improve the health of the underserved in New Orleans.

PATIENTS. We accept most private insurance plans, as well as Medicaid, Medicare, and GNOCHC. We also offer services on a sliding scale for uninsured and underinsured.

QUALITY. St Thomas CHC has been recognized by the National Council for Quality Assurance as a Level 3 Patient Centered-Medical Home. Level 3 is the highest level possible and is the Gold Standard in health care quality.

SERVICES. St. Thomas CHC offers a full range of preventive and primary care services. In addition to the primary care services of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, St. Thomas CHC also offers OB/GYN, Mammography, Optometry, Cardiology, Nephrology, Rheumatology, and Mental Health Services.
