We’re currently seeking a Pricing Strategy Analyst to join our Revenue Management team at our Head Office. This role plays a critical part in shaping pricing strategies that directly impact Virgin Australia’s commercial performance and bottom line.
What you’ll be doingIn this role, you’ll be a subject matter expert across a portfolio of markets, using data and insight to drive competitive pricing strategies and extraordinary revenue outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing proactive and reactive pricing strategies to maximise revenue across your portfolio and the broader network
- Monitoring competitor activity and preparing timely pricing responses for key markets and distribution channels
- Analysing Virgin Australia data and external sources to identify market performance drivers and revenue opportunities
- Filing and monitoring fares using ATPCo Architect to ensure competitive market positioning
- Working closely with the Pricing Distribution team to manage private fares, campaigns, rule changes and complex filings
- Maintaining a database of pricing proposals and fare filings
- Partnering with Inventory Management and other internal stakeholders to align strategies and optimise revenue outcomes
- Participating in regular market performance discussions and providing clear recommendations on pricing strategy
- Actively contributing to safety, security, resilience and wellbeing initiatives, including mandatory training and hazard reporting
You’ll be great in this role if you have…
- At least 1 year’s experience in pricing, a commercial role, or a strong background in data and analytics
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capability, with a strong attention to detail
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Ability to leverage AI-driven tools to support data analysis, automation and pricing insights
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of Australian domestic and international aviation markets and competitors
- A demonstrated interest in competitor strategy analysis
