Job Description

Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our client's logistics challenges.

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining competitive pricing solutions to support Crane Worldwide Logistics’ sales and operations teams. This role ensures profitability while meeting customer expectations and aligning with market conditions. The specialist works closely with airlines, agents, and internal stakeholders to secure optimal rates and provide accurate, timely quotations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Pricing & Quotation Management

  • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations for import and export shipments.
  • Analyze customer requirements and select the most suitable carriers, routes, and service levels.
  • Maintain and update tariff rates, spot rates, and contract pricing in internal systems.
  • Ensure pricing complies with Crane WW’s margin targets and operational feasibility.

Carrier & Supplier Coordination

  • Liaise with airlines, GSAs, and overseas partners to obtain rates, negotiate pricing, and secure capacity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier representatives.
  • Monitor carrier performance, service changes, and market rate fluctuations.

Market & Cost Analysis

  • Research market trends, fuel surcharges, peak season charges, and geopolitical impacts on pricing.
  • Benchmark competitor pricing and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze cost structures to improve profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Internal Collaboration

  • Support sales teams with pricing strategies, quoting guidance, and tailored customer solutions.
  • Work with operations to ensure quoted solutions are operationally realistic and aligned with service capabilities.
  • Assist finance teams with revenue/margin validation and pricing-related reporting.

Systems & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate pricing records and ensure timely updates in internal tools.
  • Prepare reports on pricing performance, carrier usage, and win/loss analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and relevant regulations (e.g., IATA, customs).

Skills and Qualifications:

Required

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in air freight pricing, forwarding, or a related logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of air freight rate structures, surcharges (FSC, SSC, etc.), and routing logic.
  • Experience working with airlines, GSAs, and overseas agent networks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Write and Speak English at a high level.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of quote requests within tight SLAs.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of IATA regulations, dangerous goods basics, and customs requirements.
  • Familiarity with import/export documentation and trade compliance.
  • Multilingual capabilities are an advantage in regional roles.
