Job Description

Innovative Aerosystems (IA) is seeking a Pricing & Proposal Lead to independently manage customer proposals from initial solicitation through final submission, including the development of proposal pricing.

This role serves as the primary coordinator for assigned proposals, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts, and other internal teams to gather information, develop pricing, prepare proposal responses, and ensure timely submission of complete and compliant proposals.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with significant ownership and autonomy over assigned opportunities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned proposals from customer solicitation through final submission.
  • Review and analyze RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, statements of work, specifications, and other solicitation documents.
  • Develop and maintain proposal schedules and coordinate activities across multiple departments.
  • Gather, analyze, and develop proposal pricing using labor, material, engineering, supplier, testing, tooling, and other cost inputs.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes.
  • Prepare pricing summaries and supporting documentation for management review and approval.
  • Coordinate development of technical, commercial, contractual, and program-related proposal content.
  • Track proposal requirements, deliverables, deadlines, and action items.
  • Support proposal compliance reviews and ensure customer requirements are addressed.
  • Conduct final proposal reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and on-time submission.
  • Maintain proposal documentation and supporting records.
  • Communicate proposal status, risks, and open issues to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Experience

Required:

  • 2-5 years of experience in proposal development, pricing, estimating, contracts, business development, program support, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple departments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business software applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Aerospace or defense industry experience.
  • Experience responding to RFPs, RFQs, or government solicitations.
  • Experience with proposal pricing or cost estimating.
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS requirements.
  • Experience working with Department of Defense or government customers.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Experience using SharePoint or proposal/document management systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company, customer, supplier, and pricing information.
