You provide commercial and pricing advice on the firm's client proposals, prioritizing higher-value, more complex deals and engagements with the firm's most strategically important clients.
A large part of your work is to set the winning price point and shape commercial constructs for complex consulting engagements. As the Pricing Modelling & Commercial Strategist you will work on commercial strategies, pricing modelling for high‑value deals and account frameworks—working closely with Partners, Directors and pursuit teams to ensure proposals are priced to win while protecting and improving margin.
You will be expected to apply robust numerical skills and commercial judgement to design consultative pricing scenarios, model deal economics, and convert commercial strategy into contractual terms.
You will be a core member of the Commercial Excellence Team and must be comfortable working under pressure during pursuit periods.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years’ experience in pricing and commercial modelling for consulting, professional services or complex B2B offers.
Demonstrable expertise in commercial modelling: building, validating and presenting financial/pricing models that inform bid decisions.
Proven experience in asset pricing and monetization of intangible products or IP (including digital products, technology and AI).
Strong numerical skills: advanced Excel modelling and experience with other quantitative tools for scenario analysis.
Excellent understanding of pricing constructs for consulting services and framework agreements (rate cards, blended models).
Experience with producing commercial terms for contractual documentation and supporting negotiations.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage partners and directors.
Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines as an active member of pursuit teams.
Developing the pricing and commercial propositions for bids and proposals, to demonstrate greatest value to clients, enhance margin and win more deals.
Helping pursuit teams to design and implement commercial strategies to enhance profitability and grow revenues for Deloitte’s most important clients.
Providing expert insight on how to best engage with client procurement teams and procurement processes.
Managing the monetization process of Deloitte asset catalogue and incorporate AI into Deloitte commercial offerings.
Supporting the development of commercial expertise across the firm through knowledge sharing, templates and best practice deployed by the team.
Keeping abreast of industry pricing and commercial trends in the market.
Contributing to a high performing team and bringing ideas to shape how the Commercial team plays its part in driving business success.
Supporting the pricing and commercials for new products, services or solutions developed by Deloitte.
