The successful candidate will build and execute a value-based pricing framework that positions StarTech.com products appropriately within the market, leveraging our reputation for quality, reliability, and IT professional-focused solutions. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Channel teams, this individual will convert product and technical advantages into measurable profitability gains across distribution, reseller, Amazon, and direct channels while supporting StarTech's long-term growth strategy.

This is an existing opportunity.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Margin Growth & Value-Based Pricing: Develop and execute pricing strategies that maximize profitability by aligning prices with customer-perceived value, identifying margin expansion opportunities, and supporting broader business objectives across the product lifecycle.
  • Competitive Intelligence & Market-Based Positioning: Lead competitive pricing analysis and market intelligence efforts to strengthen StarTech.com's market position, inform pricing decisions, and support premium pricing where product differentiation creates customer value.
  • IT Buyer Value Alignment & Differentiation Pricing: Develop a deep understanding of IT buyer behavior and partner with Product and Marketing teams to create pricing structures that reflect customer needs, purchasing drivers, and StarTech.com's differentiated value proposition.
  • Channel & Amazon Pricing Governance: Own omni-channel pricing strategy and governance across distribution, reseller, Amazon, and direct channels to ensure pricing consistency, margin protection, and compliance with pricing policies.
  • Pricing Analytics, Tools & Process: Establish pricing performance metrics, leverage pricing tools and technologies, and implement governance frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making and consistent pricing execution across the organization.

Must-Have Qualifications & Experience:

We're looking for someone who brings a combination of pricing expertise, commercial acumen, and analytical problem-solving.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in pricing, commercial strategy, product management, category management, or related business discipline.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies that drive margin growth, profitability, or commercial performance.
  • Experience making pricing decisions within a complex business environment involving multiple products, customer segments, channels, or regions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data, customer insights, and market trends into business recommendations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Sales, Finance, or Channel Management.

What Will Help You Succeed

Successful candidates will likely have experience in several of the following areas:

  • Value-based, market-based, or strategic pricing methodologies.
  • Competitive intelligence, market analysis, or commercial strategy.
  • B2B technology, hardware, distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce industries.
  • Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central pricing environments.
  • Working with channel partners, distributors, resellers, or marketplace businesses.
  • Pricing governance, pricing operations, or margin management.
  • Managing large product portfolios, SKU catalogs, or pricing matrices.
  • Business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • ERP, pricing, or revenue management systems such as SAP, Oracle, Pricefx, Vendavo, or similar platforms.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance growth, competitiveness, and profitability.
  • Ability to identify opportunities, influence decisions, and drive action through data and insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain pricing recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Comfortable working independently while partnering effectively across multiple teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

While not required, the following would be considered assets:
