Business Unit Overview
The Commercial team leads profitable growth by setting and governing the commercial frameworks that translate the company’s strategy into executable pricing and customer deal outcomes. This includes developing standard pricing and commercial business rules, as well as commercial offers for customised and complex deals. The team partners closely with Product, Presales, Sales, Legal, Finance and Networks to provide commercial direction, governance and decision support, ensuring outcomes are commercially sound and deliver value for both the business and its customers.
Role Purpose
The Pricing Manager plays a key role in supporting Superloop Wholesale to develop, implement and maintain pricing strategies and commercial frameworks, while providing commercial guidance and governance across the wholesale product portfolio and customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse market trends, competitor pricing and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and inform pricing recommendations
Implement and maintain wholesale pricing governance frameworks, including documented business rules and decision criteria for standard pricing, promotions and customised deals
Build, maintain and improve pricing models for standard and customised pricing to ensure consistent application of pricing principles across products and services
Build and maintain business cases for complex deal evaluations, resulting in clear pricing recommendations
Partner with Superloop Wholesale, Product, Sales, Presales, Network and Legal teams to scope, execute and deliver pricing initiatives, including new product launches and promotional activities
Support and be accountable for wholesale pricing activities within Superloop Wholesale, ensuring full compliance with Superloop’s Joint Functional Separation Undertaking, including applicable information-sharing and non-discrimination obligations
Identify and mitigate commercial risk by reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial terms for standard and customised deals
Lead commercial responses to tenders and requests for proposal (RFPs), including pricing, assumptions, commercial terms and internal approvals
Develop and maintain pricing tools and calculators to improve accessibility, accuracy and automation across the sales and deal process
Produce regular reporting and dashboards to track performance, highlight key drivers and provide actionable insights for commercial decision-making
Qualifications and Experience
7+ years’ experience in pricing, commercial analysis or a similar analytical role, with demonstrated ownership of pricing outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Advanced financial modelling capability in Excel, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing, with the ability to translate analysis into clear commercial recommendations
Proven ability to lead pricing governance and influence senior stakeholders
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing executive-ready materials
Highly developed stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of margin drivers and unit economics
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail
Experience in the telecommunications and technology sector is highly regarded
