Job Description

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION
The Pricing Clerk performs all job assignments with a positive attitude that supports San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance's mission and vision of saving species worldwide by uniting our expertise in wildlife care and conservation science with our dedication to inspiring passion for nature and leading the fight against extinction. The Pricing Clerk under general directions primarily focuses on accurately processing incoming merchandise orders from vendors and prepares the product for inventory replenishment to be sold in San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance stores.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Processes incoming merchandise orders for store replenishment. Pricing clerks will verify items against purchase orders, document any damages and variances, and repackage items for warehouse stock and store replenishment.
• Unpacks, inspects quality of product, and verifies items for merchandise stores. This includes opening, sorting, and shifting large boxes of product as needed. Ensures distribution of items is accurate and communicates issues to warehouse personnel.
• Creates price tags, labels boxes, hangs and stickers merchandise, and prepares product for stores. Packages product with proper labels and processes vendor supply shipments.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and enters orders into inventory system. Identifies problems and reconciles discrepancies
• Pricing clerks work both independently and on a team to process orders timely and accurately. They will be in constant communication with warehouse personnel and Buying team.
• Maintains warehouse clean and organized. Safely operates equipment and follows safety practices.
• Provides training and assists peers as needed.

• Position Type: Hourly Part-Time Non-Exempt Union Position - If selected, there will be fees and dues to be paid to the union
