Deliver assigned projects and analytical support related to fuel pricing, supply optimization, retail performance, and margin analysis across the company’s fuel and convenience retail network. This role is dynamic and will comprise core daily and weekly pricing responsibilities as well as deep-dive analytical projects focused on improving profitability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will be an adaptable and curious self-starter with strong analytical, technical, and business problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Pricing Analysis:

Support daily fuel pricing activities through analysis of competitor pricing, market conditions, wholesale costs, transportation expenses, and site-level performance metrics. Assist in developing pricing recommendations to optimize fuel margin, gallons, and total site profitability.

Supply and Logistics Support:

Analyze fuel supply costs, inventory levels, and delivery schedules to support efficient fuel supply operations and minimize outages or supply disruptions.

Financial and Performance Analysis:

Develop reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to monitor fuel margin performance, sales trends, pricing effectiveness, and operational KPIs. Create Excel models to merge and analyze large datasets from multiple systems to identify trends and validate data accuracy.

Data Analytics and Reporting:

Transform raw operational and financial data into actionable business insights. Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requests for management and operational teams.

ERP and Systems Subject Matter Expert:

Develop detailed understanding of pricing systems, ERP functionality, and master data structures to improve reporting accuracy, automate processes, and support operational decision making.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve pricing execution, reporting automation, data quality, and analytical processes across the pricing and supply organization.

Market Intelligence:

Monitor fuel market trends, competitor activity, economic indicators, and regional pricing dynamics to support strategic decision making.

Skills Required:

  • Strong communication skills to articulate operational and financial impacts of pricing and supply decisions.
  • Organized and structured professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Office skills specifically with Excel including PivotTables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and large dataset management.
  • Ability to transform raw data into insightful analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau preferred.
  • Familiarity with SQL, database structures, or analytical tools
  • Ability to learn complex systems, pricing models, and operational processes quickly.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, supply chain, data analytics, or similar field; or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with a proven track record working with large and complex datasets.

Preferred Skills:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience with retail fuel pricing, convenience retail, supply chain, logistics, or petroleum operations is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting operational or financial decision-making through data analysis preferred.
