About the Opportunity
A growing pharmaceutical organization with a diverse portfolio of branded and generic products is seeking a senior-level professional to lead pricing, contracting, and commercial analytics initiatives. This individual will play a key role in delivering actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across commercial operations, government programs, managed care, pricing strategy, customer analytics, and compliance.
The role combines analytical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and commercial strategy to help optimize revenue, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee pricing and contract approval processes across commercial, government, and federal customer segments.
- Monitor contractual obligations, pricing compliance requirements, rebates, fees, and customer-specific terms to support informed business decisions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to contract administration and pricing support personnel regarding contract interpretation, prioritization, and process execution.
- Develop and maintain financial models that evaluate pricing changes, contract opportunities, product strategies, profitability, and revenue optimization initiatives.
- Partner with commercial, finance, and technology teams to enhance reporting capabilities, revenue management systems, and business processes.
- Support claims validation and payment processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to evaluate product opportunities, assess demand impacts, and support forecasting activities.
- Create and maintain reporting and analytics related to pricing performance, contract awards, rebates, and customer trends.
- Support commercial launch strategies through pricing analysis, bid evaluations, and market opportunity assessments.
- Partner with legal and commercial stakeholders on contract reviews, renewals, and negotiation support.
- Lead pricing and contract-related system implementations, integrations, and process improvements.
- Maintain contract documentation and audit readiness to support internal governance and external compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in pricing, contracts, forecasting, revenue management, commercial analytics, or related functions.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, medical device, or life sciences industries strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success supporting commercial organizations through analytical insights and strategic decision-making.
- Experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, customer contracts, rebates, chargebacks, and revenue management principles.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and influence decision-making across multiple functions.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing, market access, or commercial operations teams preferred.
