I. Position summary

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of pricing strategies for medical devices and diagnostic reagents. The role ensures pricing competitiveness, profitability, and compliance with internal policies and market regulations.

II. Key Responsibilities

1. Tender Pricing Analysis

  • Analyze pricing structures for public hospital tenders and government procurement projects
  • Review historical tender data, competitor pricing trends, and market benchmarks
  • Support preparation of tender price proposals ensuring competitiveness and profitability
  • Evaluate pricing risks related to dilution, margin impact

2. Pricing Strategy Support

  • Assist Pricing Manager in developing pricing strategies across product portfolios
  • Conduct pricing simulations and scenario analysis for new bids and contract renewals
  • Validate reasonableness of tender volume versus deal volume
  • Support price approval processes and maintain pricing governance compliance
  • Provide recommendations to optimize pricing positioning in strategic accounts

3. Market & Business Analysis

  • Perform market analysis including competitor landscape, reimbursement policies, and procurement trends
  • Track pricing performance and identify opportunities for margin improvement
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure pricing alignment and execution

4. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain pricing databases, tender price records, and analytics dashboards
  • Prepare regular pricing reports and business insights for management review
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of pricing data across systems

5. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure pricing activities comply with company policies, healthcare regulations, and public procurement requirements
  • Support internal audit requests related to pricing and tender activities

III. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in Tender Management, Commercial Excellence, or Business Analysis
  • Experience in Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Healthcare, or Pharmaceutical industry is highly preferred
  • Experience with government tenders and hospital procurement practices
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement
  • Exposure to diagnostic instruments or laboratory equipment pricing
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
