Summary:
The Pricing Analyst manages the end-to-end lifecycle of pricing, bids, contracts, and cooperative purchasing opportunities for EMS, Fire, Government, and Healthcare customers. This role is responsible for developing pricing strategies, evaluating contractual requirements, identifying business risks, and partnering with stakeholders to maximize revenue, profitability, and contract retention. The successful candidate is comfortable balancing strategic analysis, customer-focused problem solving, and operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
Organizational Impact:
In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner to Sales, Leadership, Product Management, Finance, Legal, and Operations by providing analytical insights and contract expertise that drive business growth. You will influence pricing strategy, contract portfolio performance, risk mitigation efforts, and market positioning while supporting some of the organization's most complex and high-value opportunities. Your contributions will directly impact revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and long-term contract success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as a consultant to Sales and Leadership on pricing, contract, and proposal strategies.
• Submit compliant bids on time and according to customer requirements.
• Develop and submit bid responses through appropriate channels.
• Maintain profitability through contract renewals and pricing updates.
• Analyze market and competitive data to support pricing decisions.
• Conduct profitability analyses and recommend business actions.
• Review and negotiate contract terms to mitigate business risk.
• Select products and pricing to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze market intelligence to support pricing decisions and improve win rates.
• Partner across departments to resolve challenges and support customers.
• Drive innovation in pricing, contracts, and bid processes.
• Complete special projects and ad hoc business requests.
• Evaluate cooperative purchasing opportunities and contract alignment.
• Develop financial analyses to support pricing decisions.
• Lead process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field (equivalent work experience considered).
• 3-5 years of proven success in pricing, bids, analytics, or deal management, with a strong track record of delivering results.
• Capacity to manipulate large data sets within Excel using vlookups, pivot tables, and formulas.
• Skilled in interpreting complex data, identifying trends, and applying critical thinking to drive actionable solutions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate favorable contract terms while balancing risk and opportunity to meet business objectives.
• Adept at assessing contractual obligations and mitigating risks to safeguard company interests.
• Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, maintaining accuracy and delivering results within tight deadlines.
• Creative and resourceful in developing innovative solutions to drive continuous process improvements.
• Skilled at crafting compelling presentations and reports tailored for key stakeholders.
