Job Description

Data-Driven Strategy. Real-World Growth. Shape the Future of Pricing at ACM Parts.

ACM Parts, a proud part of the AMA Group, is Australia’s largest provider of alternative and specialty parts to the automotive repair industry, keeping vehicles on the road. We are reimagining the way vehicles can be repaired by providing a choice of options that suit their needs. We offer a comprehensive range of Reclaimed, Genuine, and Aftermarket parts.

The Opportunity

Reporting to Commercial Finance Manager, the Pricing Analyst will be the primary custodian of ACM’s margin optimisation strategy. This is a new role created to transition active day-to-day pricing functions from executive management into a dedicated analytical person.

You will not just crunch the numbers; you will turn data into actionable commercial strategies that directly impact profitability, balance supplier lead times against market demand, and manage SKU-level pricing across a high-volume product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Margin & Revenue Optimisation: Design, execute, and monitor pricing frameworks that protect gross margins while maintaining high market competitiveness.
  • SKU-Level Portfolio Analysis: Take ownership of extensive SKU databases to evaluate product performance, life-cycle pricing, and tiered volume discount structures.
  • Supply Chain & Cost Alignment: Collaborate closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to dynamically adjust pricing models in response to real-time variables like ocean freight costs, shifting supplier lead times, and inventory holding costs.
  • Competitor & Market Intelligence: Establish and maintain a continuous benchmarking matrix to analyse competitor pricing, local market elasticity, and industry trends.
  • Commercial Reporting: Build and manage automated pricing models and dashboards (using Power BI/Excel) to present margin performance, leakage, and profitability forecasts to executive leadership.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience as a Pricing Analyst, Commercial Analyst, or Data Analyst—ideally within an automotive, industrial parts, manufacturing, or complex high-SKU distribution environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel (complex financial modeling, lookups, arrays) and strong experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI). Knowledge of SQL or ERP systems is highly advantageous.
  • Commercial Mindset: An understanding that great pricing is a balance of margin preservation and product availability. You look beyond basic "cost-plus" models to identify "Total Value Optimisation."
  • Communication Skills: The ability to translate highly dense, complex datasets into clear, concise commercial recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and executive managers.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field.
