Job Description

The Pricing Analyst develops quotes for new business and all changes to awarded business. Supports account managers in the pursuit of new business. Assists sales team by helping coordinate processes/reporting to achieve sales objectives (ex; tooling and lump sum, track award kick off, etc… )

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Develop internal quote models based on customer RFQ’s and output from the cost estimating department

· Review RFQ details from customer to understand what needs to be quoted

· Support cost estimating in the development of the costs for the RFQ

· Working with the account managers, develop customer cost breakdown forms

· Collect historical data by tracking actual costs and compare against quoted costs. Identify gaps and develop plans to close the gaps

· Support the optimization of our quote model and the refinement of our RFQ and quoting processes

· Analyze and track quote data to identify trends by customer, product commodity, and manufacturing location.

· Support account manager at customer meetings or customer events as necessary

· Support account managers by creating reports, tracking matrices to ensure department goals are met

Qualifications

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy and proficiency are also required (advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point). Self motivator who works with minimal direction, makes decisions independently, and is able to motivate others to complete the task at hand.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance/Accounting or equivalent on the job experience. Two (2) years of inside sales, or cost estimating experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence and other documentation as requested. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

Reasoning Ability

The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. The overall ability to react quickly, rationally and decisively when confronted with major obstacles.
