Location: Newburgh, NY
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM with Flexibility (40hrs)

In this role you will:
• function as an assistant to the Caseworker
• provide transportation for clients to medical appointments/Family Court or other appointments deemed necessary by the supervisor
• assist caseworkers with transporting of families and supervise visitation between parent and child when such is required by the Orange County Department of Social Services
• Perform a variety of clerical duties while at the job site.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Valid driver’s license is required
• have good communication skills and the ability to work with families from diverse cultures and backgrounds
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
• These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to perform the job's essential functions successfully. • Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
• Able to work in open space floor plan
• Must be capable to move throughout work day and follow people served throughout community
• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
• Must be able to move in tight spaces
• Occasional lifting of > _25+ pounds
